I had the resonator and muffler cut out...

I kept the cats tho. Also the flared tips were my mechanics idea, I feel it works with how querky the car looks, all square and shit.

I felt their location would ensure that theres no drone, as well as clean up the sound. Windows up and its scant louder that it used to be, which was dead silent.

Needless to say, I am very happy.

I do, my only gripe is the shitty suction mount, its a ball joint, so excessive movement causes it shift. I havent had too much time to mess with it, but I have a feeling I’ll be getting lost of practice soon.

Yea, the 2.2 5 banger sounds great! the motor in my car is basically a newer slightly less tuned version of the RS2 motor. (mainly a smaller turbo, different exhaust manifold.) Same displacement too.

I want an 80 cabrio! Id motor swap it though. Somthing crazy, like the 2.7tt of my last audi. If I only had the space. sigh*

The cabrio has SO MUCH body flex, it it had any kind of real power it would twist itself to parts haha. I sold it locally so there’s a chance I’ll track it back down.

There have been a lot of cars since the Audi Cabrio, but recently I picked up a rosso ‘13 Abarth Cabrio. Living the dream, the Abarth has been number one on the want list for years now.

Damn, no way could it handle the torque instantly produced by the 2.7. Reinforcements would need to be made. In a perfect world I would go full rs2 on the outside, and classic quattro plus 2.7t.

Bet that Abarth is a hoot! My number one would have to be any gen turbo S cabrio.. number 2 would be a G-wagon. My wagon checks a lot of boxes so my “wants” list is pretty short lol.

A coupe quattro is on my must have list at some point - however damn near impossible to find a decent one in the states. A well built one would be amazing!

The abarth checks very few boxes other than the “so much fun idgaf about it’s lack of function” box. Especially as a cabrio, it can hold a small piece of luggage. That is it. It is a blast to drive though!
A range rover classic is probably next on the list, get a little function out of it when it’s running.
